Charter fishing boats in Galveston are available for deep sea fishing, but also have access to terrific inshore fishing for redfish, speckled trout, and flounder in the waters of Galveston Bay, West Bay, and Trinity Bay. Freeport has access to great inshore fishing also, but it is home to a large amount of charter fishing boats that venture out into the Gulf of Mexico for snapper, kingfish, shark, wahoo, dolphin, amberjack, and sailfish. Port O'Connor provides anglers with the choice of deep sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico for snapper, grouper, kingfish, dolphin, barracuda, ling, and billfish, as well as excellent inshore fishing for redfish, trout, and flounder in Espiritu Santo Bay, San Antonio Bay, and West Matagorda Bay.
The communities of Corpus Christi, Rockport, Aransas Pass, and Port Aransas are inundated with charter fishing boats whose captains know where the hot fishing action is. The area is well known for its fabulous redfish, speckled trout, and flounder fishing in Aransas Bay, Estes Flats, San Antonio Bay, St. Charles Bay, Redfish Bay, Mesquite Bay, California Hole, Copano Bay, and Baffin Bay. There are also plenty of charter fishing boats in this area that sail into the Gulf of Mexico for snapper, king mackerel, dolphin, barracuda, cobia, shark, tuna, wahoo, sailfish, and marlin.
Along the coastline of south Texas are the communities of Port Mansfield and South Padre Island, where there are charter fishing boats available that fish for everything under the sun. Offshore, the local charter fishing boats head out into the Gulf of Mexico for snapper, kingfish, ling, shark, dolphin, tuna, wahoo, sailfish, and marlin. Inshore, the waters throughout the Laguna Madre offer some of the best opportunities for redfish, speckled trout, and flounder fishing.
